Season 3, Episode 4

[DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_PLUS]
What is often the difference between feeling good and exhausted? Or between being joyful or irritated? For me I often find it’s a difference in perspective. Maybe this sounds trite or oversimplified. Maybe. But maybe learning the tools to shift one’s experience is exactly what’s needed.
Welcome to the #mumboss podcast a show dedicated to enhancing your super mama powers. I’m your host Rachel Maskell and today’s guest is Veena Sidhu who shares with us how she’s harnessed her superpowers after only 6 months of mamahood! Spoiler alert...it has a bit to do with perspective.
Veena is the Senior Partner and Head of Publishing & Sales at Mindvalley as well as partner and contributor to the blog Authentic Woman.
Expect to learn how unexpected challenges can be opportunities, how being a mom gives you superpowers, and how to stop feeling guilty while working or while spending time with the family.
What we cover:
- The transition into motherhood
- The potential negative impact of defining yourself
- Making the most of every moment
- Tools for shifting perspective

About this episode
Meet the Guest
Veena Sidhu is the Senior Partner and Head of Publishing & Sales,
Mindvalley.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and majoring in Genetics, Veena started as a medical journalist and quickly made Editor just before her 26th birthday for one of the first English medical aesthetic publications in Asia.
Within a year of joining Mindvalley and with no sales or marketing background, Veena kick-started the external sales department from almost nothing to a constant revenue stream and profitability.
Seven years on, and with a knack and need to dabble in everything (and according to Mindvalley founder, Vishen Lakhiani – “turns everything she touches into gold”), Veena’s teams include:
Mindvalley Affiliate Program, which manages external sales (primarily affiliate partnerships and media ventures);
And Mindvalley Publishing, a team in charge of signing new authors, managing their accounts, and creating content to be sold via Mindvalley's multiple consumption platforms.
Through her leadership and having worked in almost every team in the company, Veena has plans to double the business every year while setting new standards for customer support, client management, affiliate partnerships and of course – getting game changing authors to showcase their work on the Mindvalley platform.
With a never-give-up positive attitude and always striving for more, Veena believes nothing is impossible and along with sharing the Mindvalley mission, she spends her free time exploring passion projects, one of which is to see a wholistic education system developed in Malaysia.
Veena is also a partner and contributor at
Authentic Woman. Authentic Woman represents a place for those in any space of their lives, to learn from and share thoughts on any topic put forth; a community of like-minded souls searching for the same ultimate goal – to attain inner peace, good health and happy relationships – while having a lot of laughter and love along the way!
